Where does the enquiry go next?
Use this illustrative worksheet to prepare a website or workflow project. It describes a fictional supplier request, not a completed client project.
The customer needs a quotation
Record the product reference, quantity, destination and question the customer is trying to answer. Decide which details are needed now and which can wait for a reply.
A person reviews it
Name the responsible role and the tool where they see the request. Write the next action in ordinary language: ask for a specification, confirm availability or decline work outside the business's scope.
The record moves
List every copy made into a spreadsheet, CRM or email. Identify the reference that keeps these copies connected. Decide what staff do if a connection is unavailable.
The customer gets an answer
Record the reply channel, language and information that should accompany it. A request has not become an accepted order merely because a form was sent.
Try an invented record
Use product DEMO-014, quantity 12 and a fictional company. Follow the request through your proposed workflow. Can the next colleague identify the product, contact and decision without asking someone to forward the original message?
